Professor Alfieri is without a doubt the best professor at U.M.

By far.

If you take him for Civil Procedure, you will actually learn the material.
A year after taking his class in Civ Pro II, I was in another class when something about Rule 21 or some such thing came up...and...this is pretty telling...the only students in this other class that could remember any of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure...where former students of Alfieri. The students that had other profs couldn't remember a thing, a year later. I'm absolutely serious.

He will make you learn, he will push you to be a better student than you thought you could be.

At the time, I'm not sure I really appreciated him...but if you are looking for a professor who is a great person and a natural teacher,
this is the one.
